Biography

Zach Janson, an independent country music artist is about to drop his first gospel album. With over 10,000 in CD sales from his previous record, “More of That” and two singles out within the last year, it is hard not to stop and wonder what exactly Zach has to sing about. With a smile on his face and a sweet disposition Zach draws in crowds from all over to hear his uniquely deep vocal tone, classic country lyrics and sound.

Growing up in the suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee, Zach Janson did not have to go far to make his presence known in Music City. He was raised on traditional country music as his father toured with Tammy Wynette as a drummer, and his mother established herself as a country artist as well. He had no choice but to claim his family legacy and follow in their footsteps.  He soon began singing in the choir in high school. It was at 16 that he performed “Long Black Train,” and for the first time he realized he had a voice that not many others had.

Zach took his passions more seriously after auditioning for the “The Voice” a year later and making it to the second round. Along with his voice, guitar and piano became his instruments of choice as he learned old standards, newer hits, and practiced his skills at songwriting. Zach and his family realized his potential, and at 17 he was able to release his first album, “More of That”, the same album that has over 10,000 in CD Sales alone.

Now at 23, and a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Zach is building upon his career as a country music entertainer. He performs over 200 days a year at the Nashville Nightlife, a country music dinner theater in Nashville. He has spent time there, improving his performing and learning how to connect to a crowd. His hard work has garnered him an unusual fan following that ranges from ages 18 to 70, a testament to his ability to connect to many different people.

In April of 2018, Zach Janson’s first single “More of That” became number one on the U.S. chart for independent artists. It is a single emphasizing family values and virtue, attributes that Zach says are important to him in the way he is viewed as an artist. With so much accomplished independently and his upcoming album in the works, Zach Janson is a name that will definitely be buzzing in the country and gospel music world.
